Senior Pastor Search Announcement:

Position Summary

Brownsville Community Church of God seeks a dedicated, spiritually mature, and visionary Full-Time Pastor to provide biblical preaching, pastoral care, administrative leadership, and community engagement. The Pastor will shepherd the congregation, support church ministries, guide spiritual growth, and work collaboratively with church leadership to advance the mission and ministry of the church.

Primary Responsibilities

• Preach and teach the Word of God with clarity, sound doctrine, and practical application.
• Provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, counseling, visitation, and prayer support to members and families.
• Lead worship services, Bible studies, prayer meetings, ordinances, funerals, weddings, and other church functions.
• Work with church officers, ministry leaders, and committees to strengthen church programs and operations.
• Support discipleship, evangelism, membership growth, youth and family ministry, and community outreach.
• Oversee or guide church administration, planning, staff or volunteer coordination, and ministry accountability.

Required Qualifications

• Ordained and credentialed minister through the Church of God (Anderson, IN), or willing and able to obtain credentials within a designated timeframe.
• Prior pastoral, associate pastoral, ministry leadership, or equivalent church leadership position preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Theological training, Bible college, seminary education, or comparable ministry preparation.
• Experience leading church growth, discipleship programs, community outreach, and multi-generational ministries.
